The Perfect Sentence: an audio fiction concept album
Plus a fresh start, a new beginning, and an apology
At the end of 2024 I freaked out a little bit. I had a bit of a breakdown, truth be told. I stopped posting my daily post for Infinite Mixtape. I considered stopping doing any writing or creating at all. I thought about giving up this part of my life. I was convinced that nobody cared, and that made me wonder if I cared.
Thankfully I didn’t listen. But I scaled back considerably because I felt very much like I was going through the motions and that was affecting my mental health. I needed time to focus and prioritize my creative ambitions and writing projects. The idea of writing every day has always appealed to me, and to try and focus it on a topic I loved seemed logical. The fact was, it was fun…until it wasn’t. And when it wasn’t I felt like a failure and a fraud. And that made everything worse.
But I’m back and I’m going to shake it up. Something can still be infinite and not be daily, right?
But first, I’m here to tell you about a new project entirely. You see, I’m making an album. A very different kind of album. An audio fiction concept album. Here’s a video I made about it:
It’s called The Perfect Sentence and the Indiegogo for it can be found right here. We’re very close to our goal but still need a bit more support, so before I start making more mixtapes (like one about how to stay optimistic during doomsday times - coming soon) please consider checking out the Indiegogo?
Thanks. Sorry for bailing. I’ll be back. Soon.
It’s a good idea. I’m glad you’re not giving up on it. I think Substack is just weird and takes time for everyone.
